Itinerary
Our Saint Paul tour starts at 9:00 AM while picking you up from your hotel or AIRBNB anywhere at Thessaloniki city center. We head to Ano Poli, the old part of the city where we have a quick look at the Byzantine walls and churches and visit Saint Paul’s church.
Our very first stop is at Apollonia village and Apostle Paul step an amazing natural location where Saint Paul preached.
As our drive will take us about two hours to Philippi, we make one quick stop for coffee and beverages. Plenty of commentary along the way and photo stops if required. We arrive at Philippi archaeological site around 12:30 AM. We visit the Roman theatre, the archaeological site and the museum.
We may also have a cup of tea or coffee at the park of the archaeological site. We proceed our tour with a visit to Saint Lydia (the very first woman in Europe that baptized Christian by Apostle Paul) Baptistry. A great natural location and a great pilgrimage of Early Christianity.
By late noon we head to Kavala, a wonderful and historical seaside town. We visit Saint Paul’s step, the Roman aqueduct and have a nice walk at Kavala seafront. You may taste Mediterranean cuisine, including local fish, seafood and fresh Greek salad at traditional Greek fish taverns just in front of the sea. Plenty of photo stops along our way at worth visiting locations with great panoramic views.
Our Saint Paul tour is really flexible and maybe altered as per your requirements.Round afternoon, we get our way back to Thessaloniki. Mid journey stop-off to Saint Marina chapel, at great natural location. Arrival back at Thessaloniki city center. End of service.
