Thessaloniki, Greece’s second city was established at 315 BC in the Hellenic era and is mainly linked to its Byzantine heritage.

The city is often referred to as an open-air Byzantine museum, as its Byzantine, Post – Byzantine and Ottoman monuments, have been declared as historical landmark monuments. Out tour covers all fifteen of the Early Christian – Byzantine monuments that were included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1988. Our tour stat around 9:00 AM by picking you up from your hotel. We will visit all 15 UNESCO monuments of the city representing its Macedonian, Roman, Jewish, Ottoman and Byzantine heritage. Either on foot or by minivan, we will get a full day discovering Thessaloniki’s great history. The city of ghosts, as described by the famous historian Mark Mazower.
